13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (Blu-ray) (2016)
Ray N

On the night of 11/12 September, 2012 the US embassy in Benghazi, Libya was attacked and overrun; 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is the true story of what happened that night. Director Michael Bay is not usually known for restraint in his films but 13 Hours is an exception; it is still one of the best battle films of recent times, with chaotic, loud and explosive battle sequences but it is also a tribute to the men who fought and died to protect others. . Sponsored by Atlantic DVD.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (3D/2D Blu-ray) (2016)
CallumK

As a long-time Star Wars fan, I found Rogue One to be a worthwhile addition to the official canon, and a great start to the spinoff adventures. The franchise is in safe hands for the time being. This 3D Blu-ray set from Disney should please most. The presentation is mostly excellent, bolstered by a terrific 3D conversion, and the 7.1 audio is still sublime. This set also comes with an additional disc of good quality extras, and therefore comes highly recommended. . Sponsored by DeVoteD.

Embrace of the Serpent from Colombia was nominated for an Oscar for best foreign language film. It is a beautifully shot black and white film about two European scientistsí journeys into the Amazon jungle thirty years apart but guided by the same native shaman. Both are mystical journeys of self-discovery into the heart of darkness. . Sponsored by Family Boxoffice.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Blu-ray) (2016)

As a long-time Star Wars fan, I found Rogue One to be a worthwhile addition to the official canon, and a great start to the spinoff adventures. The franchise is in safe hands for the time being. Disney's Blu-ray is extremely good. The technical presentation is as close to flawless as one could realistically expect from a 1080p Blu-ray, making this demo material for the format. The extras are a bit light, but this set nevertheless comes highly recommended. . Sponsored by DVD Buzz.
