Site Outage Wednesday 6th March
Michael D
The site will be down on Wednesday for some planned maintenance to our electrical cabling. I'll also take the opportunity to replace the CMOS battery which has reached end-of-life. The site is likely to be down for the entire day.

Murder on the Orient Express (2017) (Blu-ray)
Ray N

Kenneth Branaghís remake of Murder on the Orient Express retains the glamorous, old fashioned feel of a classic murder mystery. An impressive cast including Branagh as Poirot, Johnny Depp, Judi Dench, Michelle Pfeiffer, Derek Jacobi, Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe and Daisy Ridley, a witty script, luscious visuals and an opulent score make Murder on the Orient Express first class entertainment. . Sponsored by Atlantic DVD.

Of Mice and Men (ViaVision) (1992)
Ray N

This fine adaptation of John Steinbeckís novel Of Mice and Men, starring John Malkovich and Gary Sinise, directed by Sinise, gets another release in this country thanks to ViaVision, this time including all the extras available in other regions. . Sponsored by Family Boxoffice.

Suburbicon (Blu-ray) (2017)
CallumK

Suburbicon should be a better movie considering the talent involved. It's a disjointed hodgepodge of neo-noir murder mystery and racial commentary, lacking the spark of magic to truly make it work. Nevertheless, it is entertaining at least. Roadshow's Blu-ray presents the movie in satisfying high definition, with a borderline great 1080p video presentation and a very good 5.1 audio track. However, the lack of special features is disappointing. This one is definitely a try before you buy situation; I can't really recommend the movie due to its flaws, and I can't really recommend the disc since it's so barebones. .
